The Problem
For several years now, Trinity Life Ministry has been operating at capacity, turning away hundreds of men. It is very difficult and heartbreaking when we have to make these decisions simply because of our limits on capacity. We are turning away men who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be discipled.
It’s hard to start over. After Covid, inflation sky-rocketed: groceries, gas, supply chains, and housing all went up in price, and they are not going down anytime soon.
Often, the men who come to our program have only the clothes on their backs. After they are commissioned, they are faced with the challenge of having to find a vehicle, car/health insurance, paying continuing court fees, ankle bracelet fees of $600/month, child support, and if married, providing for their families. Finding housing is the biggest challenge; apartment rent is a minimum of $1200/month plus utilities — and that is if they can even find a rental available to a person with a felony. The picture is clear…without assistance, it is almost impossible...
